MusicIndie.com - the official site for the Association of Independent Music has made 2point9/Jayded Records its label of the month for July 2009.

With over 850 member labels of all sizes and genres putting out music as diverse as Dizzee Rascal, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys and Jay Sean. AIM labels represent over 30% of the UK music market.

Through the development of Artists such as Jay Sean, Craig David, and Mis-Teeq, the 2Point9 team has been bringing UK black and Asian talent to the forefront of global music stage. After releasing Jay Sean’s ‘My Own Way’ album on the Jayded Records imprint, 2Point9 have seen the South Asian star reach No.6 in the UK album charts. Most recently the debut single from the album, Lil Wayne collaboration ‘Down’ has become the #1 most added track on US radio in June.

There are also further celebrations in order as Billy Grant of 2Point9 was voted onto the AIM board at AIM’s AGM in July 09.
